  • As we studied the overview of the 7 habits, there was one in particular that stood out to me the most and that was, "Begin with the end in mind." The reason that this one stood out to me so much is because I have always struggled with anxiety. A lot of my anxiety debilitates me from doing things, and causes me to put the future in a negative light. I always worry about money, my future home, providing for future children, the possible negative situations that could or could not happen, and all of the things that come with growing up. As I read the overview of this habit, and sat and thought about what I would want my "ending" to look like, it made me come to an important realization. When I am at the end of my life, I don't want to look back and think about all the things I missed out on, and all the time I sat contemplating about the future. I don't want to sit and think about what I missed out in the present because I was so worried about what could potentially be a problem in my future. I want to look back and see all of the amazing things I did even though I was scared, and all the experiences I had. These things include starting a business, going for jobs or pursing passions outside of my comfort zone, etc. I don't want to sit and think about all the regrets that I have. I am young and capable, and I want to use that to my advantage right now. I want to start doing instead of just sitting and thinking about it or making excuses as to why I shouldn't do it. Now is the time to start pursuing my dreams, and becoming my ideal self. I know it's not going to be easy, but it will be worth it. Who knows, maybe the things that I am scared about the most will change my life for every in the best ways.
  • These 7 habits will help me fill my life with passion and purpose because I will not only be pursuing my own dreams and goals but I will be helping people along the way. For me, there is only one greater feeling than accomplishing something I worked hard for, and that is helping those around me. In my future career, I want to be the type of person that not only succeeds because of the time and energy I put into something, but is also someone who helps and mentors those around her. When I seek to find win/win situations, work well in a team, prioritize and find ways to be proactive, etc. I feel like I am on top of the world. I know that if I were to make each of these habits permanent in my life, there is  no doubt that I would be successful. I would find the dream job I have been searching for, I would make a lot of friends, I would build my confidence, and I would become an even better worker. I am excited to start putting these habits to the test as I continue on in this class, and continue excelling in my career and education. These habits were truly inspired.
  • As I move forward in this class, I am excited to continue to learn how I can become a better person and chase all my dreams and aspirations. This class and the material we have studied has given me insight on where I am at with my personal growth and how I can improve. I feel like I am on a better track now more than ever because of the tools and knowledge I have gained in this class. I can't wait to add more tools to my toolbox, and prepare myself for my future career.
