W03 Reflection

 Date: 08/10/2022

  • There were many takeaways that I got while watching, "A Hero's Journey", but the main ones that stood out to me were: 
    • 1. We need to learn how to listen and ask questions rather than focus on being the smartest person in the room
    • 2.Reflect on the the things that you lose track of time doing, and find ways to pursue them.
    • 3.Ask the people around you what you are good at 
    • 4.Find a way to satisfy a need in the world
  • These things stood out to me the most because I have been struggling and trying to figure out my divine potential. I have so many passions, goals, and ambitions, but I often struggle to know what is best for me. I have been counseling with the Lord and my family for those answers, but I feel that this talk was part of my answer. I feel that once I heard these ideas, I had a better understanding of how I should move forward and now have a concrete plan to figure out what makes me the person I am and how I can use my talents and gifts to become who I was always meant to be.
  • To start using this concepts in my life, I feel that I need to take the time to pray, ponder, and listen to what the Lord wants to tell me in regards to my future. I need to keep asking questions whenever I feel an impression, and act on what he tells me. I often try to come up with the answers for my life on my own, and think I know best, but the only person who knows what is best for me is the Lord. I need to make Him the center of my life at all times. 
  • Furthermore, I want to start keep a record in my journal of all the things that bring me passion and joy and reflect on what I lose myself in. I often feel that I let little things like social media and watching TV get in the way of doing my hobbies and pursuing meaningful things that I make me a better, smarter, and more capable person. It's time to focus on the things that will make me a better person and to stop being idle.
  • Finally, I am going to start asking the Lord what I am good at as well as my family and friends and see how those talents could help other people in this world. I personally feel the most satisfaction when I am helping those around me but I never reach out for others to help me in return, so I know that if I were to start doing this, I would find something that would bring me immense joy. I need to start seeking out advice from those around me. I may find exactly what I am looking for through this idea.
  • As I begin to progress within this class and continue to learn the ins and outs of being an entrepreneur, I can't wait to continue to learn how to become my ideal self. I have felt myself grow just over the past few weeks with the learning and reflecting that I have done in this class thanks to the assigned readings, videos, and writing prompts. I have never taken the time to really reflect on who I am and what I want in depth, so this class has been eye-opening. I feel that I am now better prepared to accomplish my goals, and have a better understanding of what exactly my goals are.

 Date: 09/05/2022 This week the things that stood out to me the most, were the ideas of having an attitude of gratitude and being a constant learner. The reason these things stood out most to me are because I feel like I lack a lot in both of these. I often find myself being very pessimistic and negative and letting the stress and possible negative outcomes rule how I think. I don't look at the hopeful things and a lot of that is because of the lack of gratitude that I often have. W04 Reflection: Entrepreneurial Journal

 Date 08/19/2022 As we studied the overview of the 7 habits, there was one in particular that stood out to me the most and that was, "Begin with the end in mind." The reason that this one stood out to me so much is because I have always struggled with anxiety. A lot of my anxiety debilitates me from doing things, and causes me to put the future in a negative light. I always worry about money, my future home, providing for future children, the possible negative situations that could or could not happen, and all of the things that come with growing up. As I read the overview of this habit, and sat and thought about what I would want my "ending" to look like, it made me come to an important realization.
